When considering Dysport as a treatment for your wrinkles, it’s important to find a skilled plastic surgeon with training and experience using Dysport. For fantastic results, call the Miami office of Dr. Tal Roudner. Dr. Roudner has been treating patients with Dysport for years, and his patients have been thrilled with their smoother, younger-looking skin.
Facial lines and wrinkles can make you look older than you actually are. How many wrinkles you have, their location and how deep they are can vary a great deal from person to person depending on factors like weight changes, sun exposure and genetics. Injectable treatments like Dysport provide a solution to facial lines and creases without the need for invasive surgery and a long healing time.
To find out more about Dysport, schedule your consultation with Dr. Roudner or call our Miami office at 305-767-7719.
When you call our Miami office, you will be scheduled for a consultation with Dr. Roudner. Dr. Roudner will examine your skin and discuss your goals with you to make sure that Dysport is the right treatment option for you.
Dr. Roudner will also ask you a number of questions about your medical history and any medications you might be taking. Dysport is contraindicated in people with certain medical conditions, and we want to make sure that Dysport will be safe for you to use. Some medications can increase your risk of bleeding and bruising. If you are taking one of these medications, you may be asked to discontinue it for a few days before and after your Dysport treatment.
Treatment with Dysport
We perform most procedures, including Dysport injections, right here in our Miami office. Dysport works by blocking the transmission of signals between nerves and the muscles in your face, essentially paralyzing the muscles. These are only small muscles, and the effect is limited to the locations where the injections are placed.
Dr. Roudner will inject the medication into five different spots between your eyebrows to target the muscles that cause wrinkles and frown lines. The needle used to perform the injections is very fine, and any discomfort is minimal. If you are concerned about the injection, topical anesthetic is available to numb the area.
The entire procedure takes less than an hour. After that, you will be free to continue with the rest of your day.
Following Your Dysport Treatment
Immediately following your Dysport treatment, you may experience some bruising and swelling in the area. For this reason, some people prefer not to return to work right after the injection. Bruising and swelling may last for up to 48 hours following treatment. Dr. Roudner will give you suggestions for ways to minimize this effect.
Your wrinkles will not disappear immediately following your Dysport treatment, but within four to eight days of your treatment, you will see significant improvement. The effects of your Dysport treatment can last up to six months. When you are ready for your next treatment, call our Miami office. We can perform another treatment after at least 90 days have passed from your first treatment.
