Platelet-Rich Plasma, or PRP, concentrates the healing components of your own blood and returns them to your skin, scalp, or a surgical site. We use PRP to support skin quality, early hair thinning, acne scarring, and recovery after facial surgery. Because it comes from your own body, results look and feel natural.
If you want smoother skin, thicker-looking hair, or a faster recovery after facial surgery, PRP offers a natural way to get there using your body’s own healing resources. Located in Coral Gables, we personally perform every PRP treatment and welcome patients from Miami and throughout South Florida, building your plan around your goals, whether that’s a subtle skin refresh, extra support for hair thinning, or an added boost to surgical recovery.

What Is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)?
Platelet-Rich Plasma is the portion of your blood that carries platelets, the cell fragments responsible for clotting and tissue repair. We draw a small sample from your arm and spin it in a centrifuge, which separates the platelet-rich layer from red blood cells and the rest of the plasma. That concentrated layer is then injected or applied to the treatment area.
Because the material comes entirely from you, nothing foreign enters your body, so there is no risk of an allergic reaction or rejection. PRP falls under the practice of medicine rather than a manufactured pharmaceutical, which is why the skill and protocol of your provider make such a difference in your results.
How Does PRP Work?
Platelets store proteins called growth factors. When platelets are concentrated and delivered into tissue, those growth factors signal nearby cells to repair, build new collagen, and improve local blood supply. The change is gradual rather than immediate, because we are asking your body to remodel tissue over weeks rather than filling a line instantly.
The concentration matters. Our preparation process concentrates platelets to about six times the platelet concentration found naturally in your blood, using a proven two-step spinning method that keeps platelets intact and effective. Not every practice prepares PRP the same way, which is one reason we perform every treatment personally.
Good candidates are in general good health, have realistic expectations, and are addressing early or moderate concerns rather than advanced ones. PRP works best on tissue that still has capacity to respond, which is why early hair thinning responds better than long-established baldness.
